When itching occurs, it might be a good idea to prescribe Antihistamines such as Loratadine or Cetirizine to prevent scratching that might leave tiny scars or could infect the lesions. I cannot give you any specific brand or name, I hope you understand. In serious cases, medications that accelerate the process might be needed. Anti viral Medication such as Acyclovir which could be given in children and Immunoglobulin. In adults, Valacyclovir or Famciclovir could be used.
