Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi,my two year old daughter hit her forhead and seems fine but has a big bump..what should i do? would it be better to take her to the er or wait untill morning to see her doctor? Dear Karlie: I realize how concerned you are about your daughter’s recent trauma. It is recommended for children who had a head trauma to be observed during the next 3 hours for signs of sleepiness, lost of consciousness, seizures by a health care provider after a moderate to severe trauma to the head. I would suggest you to take her to the ER immediately if you notice any of those symptoms for an evaluation. |
