Dear Ask The Doctor: My eleven year old sons health condition is just awful. At the beginning of the year he battled a strong case of pneumonia, ringworm. He keeps getting headaches, tummy aches, ear aches, upset stomachs and chest pains just to name a few things. There is also a problem with hay fever at certain times. What could an eleven year old child have that is causing him all these difficult problems? Dear Ian: Im pretty sure recent infection has caused his allergic system to react. If he has a proper spray that helps him, get him to start using it regularly and see what happens. If the condition does not get better, make an appointment with your family physician so he/she can do some tests to help get to the bottom of the problem. |
