Dear Ask The Doctor: I took my 8 week old son to doctors today and theu think he has tracheomalacia but they have told me to wait for 2 weeks before going back and they might send him to see a peadiatrician do u think he should be seen sooner Dear Emma: Tracheomalacia is softening of the tracheal tissue. Many a times this resolves on its own in children and thus you could wait for a couple of weeks. However if your son develops any symptoms like shortness of breadth , difficulty breathing please consult your physician ASAP. All the best. |
