Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi Dr. Sharma, my son is 12years, for last two years I have notice that he becoming very aggressive, he bring things that I never buy and when I asked to him he said that some of his friend gave him, then he told me that some kids are bulling to him at school, I visit his school and talk to his teacher but they did not answer any thing clear. Doctor one thing that worried me that some time when I take him in the market he look to some guys very strangely, if I am not around he try to close some stranger, Doctor please please let me know what I do? please advise me why he is acting like this? Regards, Mehboob
Dear Mehboob: It seems that he may be having some behaviour issues which could either be anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or it may just be situational behavior changes. It is very difficult to pin point and say what this is exactly without assesing him further. I suggest you take him to a pediatrician and a child pyschologist who will be able to talk to him as well as assess his behaviour better so as to give a proper diagnosis. He may need some therapy +/- medication. I hope this helps. |
