Dear Ask The Doctor: Is it necessary for a 2 yr old child to get blood work every year. My daughter's pediatrician says that every child should get this every yr. Thank-you in advance for your reply. Dear Alexa: There are different protocols in place in different health care centers. I would advice checking the blood every other year unless there is some problem with the same. However I would advice you to ask your pediatrician as to what the reasons are for carrying out the blood work every year. I wish you all the best. |
