Upper respiratory tract infection vs reactive airways

Dear Ask The Doctor: My 3.5 year old son has severe nasal congestion during bedtime and a runny nose during the day. He had tubes placed in his ears last year and the congestion is over the top. He sleeps with a humidifier, but it's only minor relief. Please help!!!
Dear Luv: Your son may need some nasal spray along with puffers which will help him breathe better. He may be having either a upper respiratory tract infection or some form of reactive airway disease . The puffers will help reduce the constriction of the airways. I hope this helps. |
