Dear Ask The Doctor: My 50days old baby having yellow colour secreation in the left eye kindly give an advice---chinnu Dear Chinnu: The secretion coming out of the eye could be due to a blocked tear duct which is common in new borns. You need to clean the eyes everyday with soft damp cotton and remove the secretions. All try massaging the tear ducts in order to open them.This can be better shown in person by a pediatrician.Also in case it gets worse or the eyes become red and crusty then it could be a conjunctivitis and you need to see you babys pediatrician for eye drops.All the best. |
