Dear Ask The Doctor: My one month old daughter is not taking her milk(Mother)properly and is weaping since last one week ,and previously she was good n was taking her mother milk properly.But was having one problem that after taking her milk,she sometime through it back by vomitting. Now if the the problem continues I fear she may loss her weight and health.Hence you are requested to please advice me to how to deal her for that she start taking her milk and also with no vomitting. Thanks Dear Ijaz: There could be various causes for the poor feeding and vomitting in your one month old daughter. It could be due to simple causes like reflux disease in which the lower gastroesophageal sphincter contracts and does not relax thus leading to vomitting and poor feeding. However there could be more serious causes like pyloric stenosis or some infection which may be leading to these symptoms. It is difficult for me to say without checking the child up and thus since she is very small i would highly recommend that you take her to a pediatrician for a thorough check up as well as further investigations if needed.
