Dear Ask The Doctor: Two days ago my one year old son ingested Johnson's Bedtime BodyWash. He trew up right after it happened. He has trown up once a day since. His nose has been running, it looks like bubbles coming out of his nose. I was wondering should I be worried, and take him to the ER. Or is there something at home I can do.
Dear Lisa: There is nothing that you will be able to do at home, since it has been a while since he ingested the solution. In case the vomitting is continuing then you need to take him to the hospital for further investigations and possible rehydration. If however he is getting better and there are no major signs of deterioration, then I advice that you monitor him at home. In the future also remember to take the child to the nearest ER immediately on ingestion of a foreign object/solution. I hope this helps . |
