Dear Ask The Doctor: My 22 month old daughter has what almost looks like a diaper rash but has a creamy white discharge with it. is this a yeast infection or an uti? she also tells me it hurts down there. Dear Jessica: The creamy white discharge is suggestive of a diaper rash caused by yeast/candida. Anti-fungal ointment and proper hygiene of the area and frequent change of diapers will help relieve the symptoms. |
