Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi i was told by my dr after having xrays that i have COPD i had a lung test this week and was told by the nurse that i do not have COPD i am totaly confused can you give me some advice thankyou Dear Zoe: COPD is condition in which there is chronic obstruction of the airways/bronchi in the lungs either due to inflammation or blockage. The most deifinitive test to diagnose the same is the Pulmonary function test. If this tests shows that the result is negative then its most likely the case. I hope this helps |
