Dear Ask The Doctor: I am a twenty six year old male, slightly overweight and have been for the last four weeks or so, suffering from blood when passing diarrhea. I always need to go to the toilet in the mornings before i leave for work seven am so that I do not get caught out while at work, and also when I get in from work at five pm. My stools seem to be light brownish to dark brownish in colour and normally have bright red blood on them, also if i let the stool come out on its own there is not too much blood, but if I push it generally drips into the bowl and turns the toilet bright red. any help or advice, greatfully received. Dear Jordan: The fact that you are pushing and blood comes out is a sign that you could have hemmroids. I would go and see your doctor as soon as you can to get this treated. |
