Dear Ask The Doctor: I have been waking up every night for one week with diarreha i am not in pain but very concerned why this is happening i have not changed my diet so i cant understand why Dear Esther: Diarrhoea can be caused by infection, motility related disorder, inflammatory bowel disease, hormonal imbalance, dietary changes and some benign and malignant growths. I would advise attending your family doctor for a detailed history and clinical examination. He can perform further investigations with routine blood tests and stool samples, to identify the cause in your particular case. |
