Dear Ask The Doctor: I am 21 years old and since the age of 13 i have been having dizzy spells. i have been to the doctors several times and they have no idea what is causing this. i have seen an ENT specialist had a brain scan and nothing,this is now affecting the way i live my life, the dizziness happens whether i am walking,sitting,standing or lying . is there anything that you can suggest it might be so i can take it back to my doctor please. it's a nightmare living like this. could you help me. Dear Elsa-louise: I understand you frustration ,There are lot of conditions that can lead to similar symptoms.Some of them are Heart rythym problems , seizures or seizure like activity, low blood glucose etc. You need to get checked out for each one of this ie you need to carry outtests like a complete blood count, thyroid testing, ecg , and if needed an eeg. Please consult youyr physician in person with this new information.All the best. |
