Dear Ask The Doctor: I am tired all the time, suffer from dizziness, tiredness, headaches, neck pain, and am thirsty all the time.

Your symptoms can be side effects of Implanon, although, there are other conditions that can cause these too. Implanon is a relatively new birth control option (approved by US FDA last 2006) so I would concur that its side effect profile has not been studied extensively. Most of the time, short term and long term side effects can be studied and well established several decades after a drug is being marketed. I suggest you talk to your doctor about this problem, or your OB Gyn and ask about other options.
