Dear Ask The Doctor: My head feels like air inside When I lean over to pick up something or moving very quickly I can hear a roaring in my head or seem off balance. Is this symptomes of Hypertension or What? Dear C.: Mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure) is usually asymptomatic. Severe hypertension may cause headache, visual disturbances, nausea, vomiting and confusion. The symptoms you mention may be related to sinus problems or middle-ear disease. A simple blood pressure check can be performed by your family practice nurse. However if your symptoms are persisting I advise you attend your family doctor for a full history and examination. |
