Red Eye Following Mosquito Bite |
|
Dear Ask The Doctor: Hello, a few days ago i had a mosquito bite on my eye lid. and now my eye is red and sensitive to light. how should i deal with this? thank you Dear Az: There might have been a blunt injury to your eye causing redness and increased sensitivity to the light. Since there are no associated symptoms like itching, irritation or discharge, infection of the eye may be ruled out. Usually the symptoms reduce in short duration, but you need to get your eye examined for any inner trauma or pressure changes that might have occurred in the eye. Rest your eye and avoid rubbing it. Stay away from smoke, fumes, wind, or dust or anything else that makes you blink a lot. You can wear sun glasses to protect the eyes.
