Dear Ask The Doctor: I have been very sick for a good two and a half weeks my pains are vomitting, fever, chills, and extreme nausea now i have been to the doctor for this and my doctor twlls me its nothing that i have the the stomach virus and must wait it out, but is it normal to feel nausea every morning? Im not pregnant i know that and i also have been peeing alot and havent pooped since friday night what do you suggest i do?
Dear Silva: I would suggest you to discuss with your doctor for further evaluation and tests such as a complete blood count, urinalysis and a chest x-ray to determine the cause of infection. Though viral infection may present with similar symptoms, it is important to rule out other underlying causes such as a urinary tract infection or a chest infection. Treatment will depend on the causes. I wish you well, take care. |
