Dear Ask The Doctor: What would cause headaches with numb lips?
Dear Brenda: Though it may be difficult to say what is the cause of your symptoms, one reason that needs to be ruled out is migraine headaches. Migraines are due to changes in the brain and surrounding blood vessels. A variety of warnings can come before a migraine. These may consist of a change in mood (for example, feeling "high," irritable, or depressed) or a subtle change of sensation (for example, a funny taste or smell). Fatigue and muscle tension are also common. I strongly recommend that you to get a thoroughly evaluation by an internal medicine doctor or neurologist. |
