Dry throat and Headache after drinking

Dear Ask The Doctor: Last weekend I drank quite a bit and ever since then i have had a headache everyday and a dry achy throat, I suspected dehydration and have been drinking mass gatorade and water but im not sure anymore, could it be something serious?
