Tingling Headache Left Side

Dear Ask The Doctor: I have recurring headaches which include a "tingling" sensation near my left temple. These headaches last for 2-3 days and sometimes stop me in my tracks because of the pain. Headaches are not light sensitive and I have no clue when they will start. What might be the cause and should I be concerned that this is more than a normal headache?

Dear Jay: Your symptoms could be due to migraine headache, facial neuralgia or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. I would recommend that that you see a neurologist for further evaluation.
