Dear Ask The Doctor: I have 95% blockage in my coronary artery. How long till surgery?
Dear James: The timing of surgery will depend on a number of factors. Namely, the specific artery that is blocked, the severity of symptoms, the presence of any other illness and your physical ability to undergo the surgical procedure. Given the significant blockage of the artery, delay of surgery should be a minimum to prevent the possible complications such as a heart attack! |
