Chest pain in the center of my chest

Dear Ask The Doctor: About 8 days ago I had stents put in two of my arteries, but starting today there is a pain in my chest (center) and there is a spot approximately 2 inches long and a quarter inch wide in the center of my chest that feels ice cold. It is also a little tough to breath. Should I be concerned or should I go to the emergency room?
Dear Mark: The chest pain may be the burning pain due to acid reflux. You may visit your doctor or the emergency to rule out any complications (less likely to happen) related to stenting. The burning pain may be relieved with antacids and avoiding spicy, oily or fatty foods along with increased intake of water to reduce the acidity in the stomach.
