HERNIA CARE AFTER SURGERY

Dear Ask The Doctor: 4 weeks back I underwent surgery for inguinal hernia. Open surgery a non-mesh hernia repair. Surgeon told me there is no big damage so he was not used mesh. My nature of my job is sitting before computer. I have to sit 9 to 10 hours. now there is very small pain some times. When can I start riding a two wheeler? ( Self stary bike 100cc) Can i claim steps 8 or 9 times ( My office and residence is first floor) when can i resume sexual activities when can i start travelling bus ? can is sit long time ? Can I walk 2 or 3 kms per day ? when can i start walking 2 or 3 kms ?
Dear Senthil: It has already been 4 weeks so it is safe you to resume all your normal activities including light to moderate exercise. It is safe for you to do all the activities you have described. |
