Dear Ask The Doctor: Hello i had an inguinal hernia for about 2 years prior to having surgery .after one month of my surgery my infected testicle is swollen. Dear Sheikh: Swelling of the scrotum following inguinal hernia surgery is usually the result of a collection of fluid. This may be intra abdominal fluid or it may be blood, A fluid collection is likely to occur in large or long-standing hernias. The condition can usually easily be removed with ultrasound guidance. This is a minor procedure which does not require any general anesthesia or hospitalization. You will need to return to your surgeon to confirm the diagnosis and have the appropriate therapy. |
