Regards, JSC Dear Jesther: Yes, there is a small chance that a hernia operation may result in infertility in men. This happens with the vas deference (tubular structure carrying sperm) gets damaged as result of the operation or gets blocked due to the development of scars post surgery. This complication is very rarely seen these days and a good hernia repair should not cause any sterility problems. |
