Dear Brian: There may be some difficulty in passing urine after a hernia surgery and a catheter may be required to be inserted. Usually this is temporary and may be due to the inflammation in the areas surrounding the ureter. If this problem is longstanding then you may have to consult your surgeon to rule out any obstruction or stricture of the urinary tract. |
