Dear Ask The Doctor: I ran out of losartan tablets a week ago and cannot get more till next week is this cause for concern Dear Trevor: Losartan belongs to a family of medications known asangiotensin II receptor blockers. It is generally used in cases of low to mild hypertension and as a replacement of ACE inhibitors (due to side-effects). Whether or not your missing the drug may cause symptoms would depend on how controlled your hypertension is. I would suggest that you see your doctor and try not to miss any medication prescribed. |
