Can stress cause hives? |
|
Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi , can you tell me if you can get hives from stress please . Thank-you . Betty There has been increasing evidence that stress can cause hives. Stressful conditions can release certain types of hormones in the body. These hormones in turn can get in contact with mast cells, making them release histamine into the system and eventually cause hives. I do hope this helps and take care always. |
