Dear Ask The Doctor: I am a 14 year old girl. I have many symptoms of hypothyroidism, but have not yet seen a doctor about it. If I were to have hypothyroidism, could this be the reason for my small breast size? I have no breasts whatsoever, even though I am a few pounds over weight, none of the fat ever goes to my breasts. Dear Sophia: Typically hypothyroidism does not cause or present with decreased breast size. Infact hypothyroidism will lead to weight gain .
