Mesothelioma Lawyers in the United States

Dear Ask The Doctor: A few months ago i had a very bad bronchial-type cough. I went to go see my family doctor and he told me if it does not go away to come back and see him. I was given a chest x-ray of my right lung and it showed a pleural thickening. Just a few days ago i was redirected to a respirologist who then sent me to a thoracic surgeon and i had a open chest biopsy. After the biopsy last week i was diagnosed with metastatic mesothelioma. How come it took the doctors three months to diagnose my condition? I am speaking to a bunch of lawyers here in the United States as i feel that my family lawyer waited too long to diagnose me. Does Ask The Doctor know of any good mesothelioma lawyers I could go to. Am i in the right?

Dear Brennan: Its unfortunate that the GP was not able to send you in to the Respirologist sooner to get diagnosed. Once again getting diagnosed for mesothelioma is not easy and lots of processes have to be followed. We here at Ask The Doctor unfortunately can't recommend any lawyers for you. Your best bet is to use our seach box at the top of the page.
