Dear Ask The Doctor: I have a broken jaw and I am enduring some extremely. Strong pain my doctor prescribed me hydrocodone.with acetaminophen they do work but only in abundance.. there in lyre my issue. Im wondering if there are any herbal non addictive or non narcotic pain killers that are potent enough to ease my pain... please help!!!
Dear Gabriel: The combination of acetaminophen and codeine (“oxycontin”, “Percocet”, “endocet”) is the most used to relieve moderate to severe pain, unfortunately, there is no “herbal” pain killer stronger than the ones mentioned before, possibly other prescription pain killer as “tramadol” but is a kind of narcotic too. With an adequate immobilization and healing of the fracture the pain should go away gradually. |
