Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi my name is Jaleesa Miller. I'm a victim of PCOS, and I started taking birth control pills in July to help regulate my cycle and now from July to November which I'm happy about. I stop taking birth control the first week of October and still got an cycle. October 29 I started taking FertilAid for Womens and with that I got my November cycle and along with FertilAid im also taking FertilCM. I was wondering since I'm doing sooo good with my cycles now do you think there's a possibility I could get pregnant?
Dear Jaleesa: While PCOS patients do find it more difficult to get pregnant it is not impossible. Out of the 70% who ovulate, 15-50% will become pregnant. The success rate of pregnancy is dependant on a number of factors. It includes the time in your cycle you have sex, your age and weight, and the speed and motility of your partner's sperm. |
