Bleeding from the Rectum - Polyp |
|
Dear Ask The Doctor: I cut my rectum about 129 days ago with my finger nail it was super deep as my finger nails were not cut,i went to the doctor to see what it was he said i could be a polyp, the bleeding comes and goes i want to know what i can do to stop my rectum from bleeding there is no pain when passing stool, but still some blood im wondering if this will go away or something i can do besides eating right that can help it go away! thank you very much!!!! Dear Kevin: You should try to avoid constipation and formation hard stools in order to allow the bleeding site to heal without disrupting the healing process on and off. Increase your fluids intake along with a fibre rich diet, go for walks, jogging, bike riding or if possible daily workouts for at least 30 mins, 3 to 4 times a week. Develop a routine in your meal times and daily habits for better results. If the bleeding continues you may want to see a gastroenterologist to make sure that there isn’t any other underlying condition that may causing the bleeding.
