Exceeded dosage limit of Doru-Tuss and Dimetapp?

Dear Ask The Doctor: I gave my 2 year old son 3ml of durotuss and approx 3 hours later gave him 2.5ml of dimetapp - will he be OK as the dosage on both says 6 hour apart?

Dear Alison: As long as you've not exceeded 4 doses in 24 hours, it is safe. Always remember to give the drug according to the instruction to avoid complication of overdose. Take care.
