Chantix

Dear Ask The Doctor: I took Chantix for a few weeks and then stopped for a week. Can I start up at the 1mg twice a day or do I need to start all over and work up to those blood levels?

You can take them as usual; however do not take more than 2 a day to compensate for the miss doses. I would also suggest you to inform your primary care physician if you are taking other medications or plan to become pregnant.
