Pain and tingling sensation in neck

Dear Ask The Doctor: In June 2010 I was on a 9 hour plane trip. When I got off the plane the back of my neck on the left side was hurting and I had tingling in my left arm. It has been this way ever since. I've had 2 MRI's that did not show anything and a EMG that did not show anything.I also have been to physical therapy and that did not stop my symptoms. Do I have a pinched nerve that is undetectable?

Dear Samarra: That could be a possibility. The only suggestion i can make is maybe visiting another physiotherapist to strenghten your neck extensor muscles. We have found that strong neck extensor muscles can fix the problems people feel going down their arms.
