Pain in my left testicle.... WORRIED! |
|
Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi, for the past three weeks I have being experiencing pain in my left testicle which is quite uncomfortable. i also have back pain, particularly in my lower back and my left groin. I also get pains in my left leg. I do not have any pain urinating and there is no blood in the urine either. It does not hurt when I walk, mostly when I sit down. I have cramps in my stomach aswell. There is no discharge from the penis or do i feel the need to urinate frequently or at all. I feel slightly dizzy sometimes (this only been the case for the past 2 days, in which I am fine now). There is no blood in the urine either. Is it an infection of the testicle, epididymis or prostate. I am very worried about this! Dear Mark: It does not seem to be an infection, it may instead be due to a developing tumour in the testicle, which usually produces symptoms of pain in the lower back, groin, and the testis, swelling and a mass may also be present with the progression of the condition. You should contact your doctor for an initial assessment of the area and related symptoms, and a reference to the specialist.
