Testicular cancer in a fourteen year old?

Dear Ask The Doctor: This is urgent i am 14 years old and recently noticed a hard very small bump on my right testicle its on the top of the testicle i had experienced swelling at firs but it is no longer swallon and hasnt been for about 5 days im not experiencing any pain unless i touch the bump i am geting checked but could i please get your oppunion is it testicular cancer? if so how long before it becomes deadly?

Dear John: There could be a possibility for the hard, testicular lump to be a testicular cancer, and if the diagnosis is confirmed (following your doctors visit and investigations), it can be completely cured if the treatment is sought early enough before the cancer spreads to other parts of the body. Other possible causes for tumour include spermatocele, varicocele or a hydrocele.
