Undescended testicles: How serious is it?

Dear Ask The Doctor: Hello doctor! i am afraid of a testicular problem since my childhood.mmy scortum which must carry my testies is empty.i dont have any problem of sexual arousal. please guide me about my problem iam much worrried thanks in anticipation

You have undescended testicles and you need to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible; you may need surgery. The scrotum is the ideal place for the testicles to develop because it has a cooler temperature as compared to the body. Warmer temperature is a somewhat hostile environment for sperm cells inside the testicles to develop. Complications of undescended testicles are testicular cancer and infertility. I do hope this helps and take care always.
