Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi for past 24 hours i have been experiencing mild pain more on the right testicle, feels like they are being squashed, there doesnt seem to be any swelling or visible change
Dear Ozzie: You may be having an infection on your testicle or a benign mass. I would still suggest for you to see your doctor. If it is an infection, it should be treated w/ antibiotics. Even if the pain is tolerable, it would still be better if a doctor will see it to make sure it is only a benign condition and consequences (decreased fertility or infertility) can be avoided. Sometimes, testicular cancer can present as painless mass. It is noteworthy that the testicle has a single blood supply for each side. If the condition you are having will compromise the blood supply, future fertility can be significantly affected. I do hope this helps and take care. |
