What can i do to reduce the pain i have because of my stomach ulcer and musculoskeletal pain?

Dear Ask The Doctor: I have a stomach ulcer and it is causing me severe discomfort which is increasing recently. i also have musculaskeletal pain caused as a result of the weight loss and loss of important mineral ions due to my ulcer, as i have been opening my bowels with malina up to 12 times a day. Stress has been a major cause of my problems but recently the pain has increased in intensity and frequency. Medicines such as co codamol and omeprazol or ranitidine and gaviscon are not helping me at all. please give me suggestions on how i can cope with this pain, because i am currently struggling to move around. thanks a lot for taking the time out to try and help me, really appreciate it.

Dear Sabah: You will need to take some NSAIDS medication along with teh omerprazole for the pain. I would suggest getting it checked out to see why it is so painful there may have been a rupture. In terms of MSK pain again NSAIDS like aleeve, tylenol, ibuprofen will help. ALl the best
