Questions about my medication and Imbalance

Dear Ask The Doctor: I am not sure this really pertains to by high blood pressure. I take doxazosin and avapro and hydrochlorithorizide for high blood pressure. Is it possible for any of these medications to cause my equilibrium to be off. I have no balance issues but I notice I am hating to drive above a certain speed or go down hill. Please advise (PS I am on other meds as well - synthroid and questran and aciphex)

Dear Phyllis: I note that you are on three medications which are designed to lower your blood pressure. You should make sure that these medications are not causing your blood pressure to fall to lower than normal levels. Low blood pressure may explain your feelings in imbalance.

Also you should note that vertigo (dizziness) is one of the potential side effects of Aciphex. It is also possible that your 'equilibrium ' issues have nothing to do with any of medications. I strongly suggest you have this problem thoroughly investigated by you physician.
