Chest pain on breathing: What could it be?

Dear Danielle: You are young and thus the diagnosis could be varied. Typically in your age group I would be concerned about a resipratory infection which is leading to this pain on taking in a breath. However i would also like to rule out any heart involvement and thus advice you to see a physician in person for a thorough check up along with a chest xray and an ecg to start with.
