Dear Mirna: It could be that your symptoms are caused by a panic and/or anxiety disorder. You need to see your family physician for further in-depth history and examination. While they can be primary , there are also various conditions like thyroid problems which can lead to similar symptoms. I would advice you to get checked up thoroughly to rule out any organic cause. Treatment of panic disorder includes supportive psychothepary or some densensitization techniques. Also medications like benzodiazepenes can be prescribed. Doing some yoga and practicing relaxation techniques will help to relieve some of the distressing symptoms. I wish you well, take care. |
