Recurrent Nose bleed when I blow my Nose

Dear Robert: Nose bleeds are a common problem but not always requiring medical attention. There are a wide variety of causes that can account for recurrent nose bleeds, including trauma (nose-picking), bleeding disorders, tumors and some infections. In your case it could be due to trauma cause by excessive blowing of nose. If your symptoms do not go away by compression of the nose and application of ice, underlying causes like a polyp and nasal spur may need to be ruled out by an ENT surgeon.
