Taking two antibiotics together

Dear Ask The Doctor: Hi. I've been battling a severe sinus infection, and have, just today, had a prescription for Clarithromycin (Biaxin) added to an earlier prescription of Cephalexin (Keflex). Is it REALLY all right to take these two together? And, if so, am I able to continue taking Benadryl alongside them? (The Benadryl has been helpful with vertigo experienced since the onset of the infection.) I should also mention that I'm a lupus and fibromyalgia patient.
Dear Patsy: Clarithromycin (Biaxin), Cephalexin (Keflex) and benadryl can be used together. Remember to take the recommended dosage and complete the drug course as recommended by your physician. |
