If the wound was deep and caused by a rusted piece of metal, depending on your tetanus vaccine status, if your last vaccination was more than 10 years ago you will probably need at least a booster vaccine. Keep your wound covered with gauze and change it three times a day; antibiotic ointments could also help combat and prevent a possible infection. I wish you a prompt recovery. |
