Dear Ask The Doctor: My big toe wont heal. I have tried everything amaginable. I clean it, but neosporin on it and banaide it. Its been almost a year, it gets close close where their wont be any puss in it, but its still extremly sensitive at this point. but it only lasts a day or 2 then it gets horiable, its always red and swollen. I work in a factory I have to wear sneakers since I stand for 8 hours its unbearable. Any idea what it is and what I can do? Dear M.j: Thanks for providing the picture here. Looking at the picture it seems like you have a re-occuring blister on your toe from being on your feet all day. Your best bet would be to see a podiatrist and get some medication for it. From there get them to recommend an appropriate type of sneaker with proper insoles so you don't keep having this problem occur. |
